Open to those who own (or are thinking about purchasing) a Brother or Baby Lock machine that has this built in digitizing program; My Design Center (Brother) or  IQ Designer (Baby Lock). The programs are identical on the 2 brands.
There are many different models of machines that include this powerful, yet easy to use, tool.

The same class will repeat several times over the course of a month. No need to sign up for every session unless you just want to.
The class is offered at no cost and registration is required.
Each month a new class will be offered, covering different aspects of the program.

This class we will focus on the Line Tools of My Design Center.  We will create a line drawn embroidery pattern.

Objectives:

• Review of the workspace and tools selection

• To complete an exercise using the Line drawing tools for familiarity and comfort

• Understand the difference between closed shapes and open shapes

• Size any portion of a design

• Find the Line Properties page

• What options are on the Line Properties page 

• What is the Open Freehand Drawing tool and how it is used

• What is the Closed Freehand Drawing tool and how it is used

• What is the Straight Line single stroke Drawing tool and how it is used

• What is the Straight Line with Direction change Drawing tool and how it is used

• How to assign stitch types and colors to lines

• How to double check that your line has been changed

• Understand the purpose of Line Flood Fill

• How to add to draw a design

• What is the Preview box

• How to use the Zoom feature

• How to use the Pan hand

• What and where the Rotate options are

• How to relocate pieces of the design on the design page (Move)

• To experience how to use the eraser tool and options

• Use Undo and Redo

• Change the Stitch Properties of the Line Stitch types

• Create a primitive embroidery design using all the Line tools
